SIMATIC WinCC Unified is the new visualization software in the TIA Portal. Fundamentally redeveloped, the runtime is based on modern web technologies such as HTML5, SVG and JavaScript. This allows access to the visualization using any modern web browser.
WinCC Unified is scalable from single-user systems on a panel or PC basis to complex, distributed applications. The user interface is vector-based and makes scaling from small to large much easier. The various options such as "Calendar" or "Performance Insight" also allow applications to be scaled freely in terms of functionality.
Thanks to powerful and open interfaces, WinCC Unified is able to integrate other software tools (e.g. from the IT environment) and combine them in a standardized operating concept. WinCC Unified is thus becoming an integration platform for linking data from production with data from the IT world.
